Meet Our Vinegar Makers

“Making vinegar’s literally a living process. Treat it well and you know you’ll get the best out of it.”– Whitney, vinegar maker.

After 14 years of continual growth, Australian Vinegar outgrew our original farm and expanded into a new, state-of-the-art facility in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia. Now, our makers still work hard every day to bring you the finest tasting vinegars available anywhere.

Every maker at Australian Vinegar is an expert in the field. We’re set apart from other vinegar makers, because that’s all we do, and we’ll do it any way we can. Whatever the starting material, whether it’s apples, grapes, grains or something else, if it can be made into vinegar, we can do it.

YourACV is just one of our great products, and represents a new stage of tasty vinegar drinks. We’ve taken what we love about vinegar and made it into a form that’s really easy to drink, and makes you feel great.

Vinegar is made by fermentation with yeasts and acetobacter bacteria. It’s the oldest biotechnology around, so there’s been a lot of time for people to develop knowledge (and the odd misconception) about its effects. Our competitors might say a lot about the health effects of vinegar, but for us it’s important to sort the myths out from the facts. Because we’re serious about the health benefits of vinegar, we have qualified scientists keep up-to-date on the science of vinegar and its nutritional properties.

We’ve engaged researchers and formed relationships with Universities to start to better understand vinegar in general, and YourACV in particular. This research takes time, but what we do know has come out of some pretty smart research that’s been published in the last few years. If you’re interested, you can read more about the health benefits of YourACV in our ACV Science page.

Meet Our Scientists

“I was skeptical at first, but there really is a sound body of evidence that vinegar can have positive health effects.”– Michael, PhD. Food scientist.

Our motto is “sharp solutions for the food industry”, so we’re always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to improve on this age-old favourite ingredient. We encourage an active approach to experimentation with ingredients and flavours.

Meet Our Farmers

“It’s always great to see new ways that people can enjoy what we grow here.”– Trevor, apple farmer.

Stanthorpe is named from the Latin words meaning tin village, because it was founded during a time when the mineral wealth of the region was highly prized. Since then the local industry diversified into stonefruit, grapes and the delicious crispy apples that the town is known for today.

The fertile farmland in the high-altitude of Queensland’s Granite Belt produces some of the best apples in Australia. We work with farmers and juicers to source only the best juice for our products, so you can be sure you’re your ACV tastes fantastic, and contains the goodness of one whole apple in every serve.

Our farmers have tended their orchards for generations making their products to be eaten fresh or squeezed for the sweet juice. From these fine starting materials Your ACV is born, and now you can taste the flavour of generations of experience in a new way.
